1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BudgetBlox ("the App", "the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

BudgetBlox is a personal finance management application that helps users track expenses, manage budgets, set financial goals, and monitor their financial health. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

3. User Accounts

To use BudgetBlox, you must:

• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Provide accurate and up-to-date financial information
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Not use the Service to transmit malicious code or interfere with its operation
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Financial Information and Advice

BudgetBlox is a tool for tracking and managing your finances. The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All financial decisions are your sole responsibility. We recommend consulting with qualified professionals for financial advice.

The Service may provide general information, suggestions, or recommendations, but these should not be considered as personalized financial advice tailored to your specific situation.

6. Data Accuracy

While we strive to ensure the accuracy of calculations and data processing, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your financial data. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the information you input or that results from the use of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by BudgetBlox and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent. You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

8. Subscription and Payment

BudgetBlox Premium subscriptions are available on the web. The prices below are our current pricing:

• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Subscriptions purchased in the mobile app are billed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their respective terms; subscriptions purchased on the web are billed by Stripe
• Prices we publish are in Canadian dollars (CAD): Premium is CA$9.99/month or CA$79.99/year. Prices are set and localized by the applicable store or payment processor and may vary by region and currency, and the exact price is always shown at checkout
• New Premium subscriptions include a 14-day free trial, currently available for subscriptions purchased on the web through Stripe (and, once the mobile apps launch, for subscriptions started through your app store); you will not be charged until the trial ends, and the trial terms shown at checkout apply
• Free Premium time earned through the Budget Circle referral program is promotional and non-renewing: 4 referral credits redeem for one 30-day month of Premium, subject to the program rules shown in the app
• You can cancel at any time: mobile subscriptions are cancelled through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, and web subscriptions are cancelled from the subscription settings inside the BudgetBlox app. If you cannot reach either, email [email protected] and we will cancel it for you
• Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy, the policies of the applicable store or payment processor, and applicable law
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices without notice to users

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance or updates
• Technical issues or system failures
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDGETBLOX AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BudgetBlox and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, and we may delete your account and data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Canada.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BudgetBlox regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
